Position Summary

Under minimum supervision the Operations Manager will support operations, through the dispatch, employee retention and advancement, sales/marketing for the Branch or assigned territory. The Operations Manager’s overall accountability is to ensure customer responsiveness and customer satisfaction; achieved by providing high quality industrial cleaning service focused on safety and our customer’s needs. The Operations Manager’s specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Demonstrated experience in operations management, chemical cleaning services (or related industrial/environmental services), and sales or business development, with the ability to integrate operational execution and client growth strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a safety and environmental champion, lead by example, participate in health, safety and environment activities and arrange the correction of unsafe conditions and facilitate coaching/training of subordinates to change unsafe behaviors.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relations by responding to customer needs and coordinating the appropriate support through utilizing the dedicated crew and/or directing support from the Branch Manager.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with customer to ensure job/tasks are performed in the desired manner.
  • Train and mentor Field Service staff on the operation and maintenance of water blasting and related equipment, including automated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; provide input to the general management regarding performance evaluations for individuals.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Set up work site/area (equipment, tools, and employees) to ensure all workers, company/customer equipment and facilities remain safe and do not incur personal injury or damages as a result of the work performed.
  • Ensure employees are working in the most cost-effective manner to complete the job/task in the best interest of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct safety meetings with employees prior to each job and assure that proper safety procedures are followed.
  • Professionally complete or direct and review the completion of all on-site paperwork/job tickets for the company and customer to drive accurate billing and payroll functions and assure regulatory compliance; ensuring that all daily job tickets are accurately input into the mobile tablet system and all items used to perform the work are properly captured, including compliance with electronic driver logs (ELD)
  • Direct personnel at jobsite and perform any necessary work task to ensure the job is completed safely and to the customer's satisfaction
  • Evaluate employee performance and conduct on-the-job training and coaching when necessary
  • The Site Operations Manager will also undertake other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned by SES from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in the Environmental and/or Industrial Services industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of 3 years managerial/supervisory experience
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Strong background in team building
