Job description

Role: Associate, Client Service
Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 3 days in-office)
Term/type: 4-month contract with opportunity for extension

Other. is raising the bar in the North American advertising industry, setting a new standard for measurable impact, transparency, and accountability for both our team and the clients we partner with. We are a privately owned, Toronto-based team of approximately 50, led by a small Leadership Team. Having been named to The Globe & Mail's list of Canada's Top Growing Companies for three consecutive years, Other. is in an exciting period of sustained growth and making key hires to support what's next. Our headquarters is located in Toronto's Financial District, just steps from Union Station, with a second office steps from Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

THE ROLE

We're looking for someone who can move quickly, sweats the details, and genuinely cares about the client experience. In this role, you'll be embedded in day-to-day account management, keeping campaigns and relationships running smoothly across a mix of traditional and digital media. It's important that this role anticipates what's coming next and makes sure the team is always a step ahead.

Ideal candidates have experience in advertising, whether that's traditional media planning, performance campaigns, or agency account work. You don't need to be an expert, but you should know the landscape and be ready to go deeper from day one. An absolute must-have skillset is organization, adaptability and agility!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Client Execution & Communication

  • Own your accounts day-to-day; hitting deadlines, responding quickly, and keeping clients confident that things are under control.
  • Build and polish client-facing materials (decks, reports, recaps) that go out the door without a round of revisions first.
  • Anticipate client needs before they surface; flag risks early and bring solutions, not just problems.
  • Communicate with precision; clear, timely, and calibrated to the audience.

Campaign and Account Coordination

  • Stay across active campaigns and media activity (traditional, digital, or both) so nothing slips and nothing surprises.
  • Project management from the first brief to completion.
  • Keep account documentation tight: notes, task tracking, and records that teammates can actually rely on.
  • Come to every meeting prepared; reporting pulled, materials ready, context loaded.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (planning, buying, creative, finance) to manage dependencies and keep deliverables on track.

Quality Assurance

  • Catch issues before they reach the client. Your attention to detail is a genuine differentiator.
  • Raise your hand early when the scope is unclear, timelines are slipping, or something looks off.
  • Hold a high bar for the quality of everything with your name on it.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in client services, account management, or a client-facing agency role.
  • Background in advertising; traditional media (TV, OOH, print, radio), digital/performance media, or media planning preferred. Direct agency experience is a strong asset.
  • Sharp communication skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and to a high standard.
  • Comfortable working with media plans, campaign reports, and the rhythm of how advertising gets made and executed.
  • Comfortable coordinating across internal teams to manage dependencies and keep things on track.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • You stay ahead of things, you spot what needs to happen and move on it.
  • You focus your energy on work that actually moves the needle, not just work that keeps you busy.
  • You let results drive decisions, and you commit fully once a direction is set.
  • You'd rather do the right thing now than the easy thing later.
  • You push past the obvious and do the hard thinking, but always make sure you're understood.
  • You bring energy to the table, stay open to being wrong, and feedback in either direction is always productive, never personal.

COMPENSATION + TRANSPARENCY

Expected compensation range: $55,000 - $65,000 CAD per year for comparable full-time permanent role, depending on experience, pro-rated for contract positions.
