Responsibilities:
Support technology consulting engagements across digital transformation, technology strategy, systems implementation, data, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and related areas.
Conduct research and analysis to assess business needs, technology capabilities, industry trends, and solution options.
Gather, document, and validate business, functional, technical, and user requirements through interviews, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
Analyze current-state systems, processes, data flows, integrations, and operating models to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Support the design of future-state processes, technology solutions, operating models, implementation roadmaps, and governance structures.
Assist with technology selection activities, including market scans, vendor assessments, requirements evaluation, and solution comparisons.
Develop clear and concise presentations, reports, process maps, requirements documents, business cases, and other client-ready deliverables.
Support system implementation and transformation initiatives through planning, testing, data migration, change readiness, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
Assist with project management activities, including work planning, status reporting, risk and issue tracking, decision logs, and action-item management.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to clarify needs, resolve issues, and maintain alignment throughout project delivery.
Translate complex technical information into clear, practical insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support data analysis, reporting, and visualization activities to inform decision-making and measure project outcomes.
Participate in client meetings, workshops, and working sessions, contributing ideas and documenting findings, decisions, and next steps.
Contribute to internal methodologies, tools, knowledge assets, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Technology Services Group.
Manage assigned work independently, meet project deadlines, and proactively communicate progress, risks, and required support.
Contribute to the life and culture of Optimus SBR.
 
Qualifications:
4+ years of relevant experience in technology consulting, business analysis, systems implementation, digital transformation, project delivery, data analysis, or a related field.
Understanding of technology-enabled business transformation and the relationship between business needs, processes, data, people, and technology.
Experience gathering and documenting business, functional, technical, or user requirements.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop practical recommendations.
Ability to assess processes, systems, data, and stakeholder needs to identify improvement opportunities.
Experience creating professional presentations, reports, process maps, requirements documents, or other client-ready deliverables.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the confidence to contribute ideas and respectfully challenge assumptions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, or project management applications is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, design thinking, systems development lifecycle, or change management methodologies is considered an asset.
Ability to demonstrate the bold, entrepreneurial, hard-working, and client-focused behaviours that support Optimus SBR's culture.
Required Education: Related University Degree (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent).
Preferred Education: Post-Graduate degree, MBA, or other relevant designations strongly preferred.

Compensation: Salary range is $82,500-$90,000 CAD

Salary ranges are designed to be competitive. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience and is subject to negotiation and subject to the candidate meeting the specific requirements or the role. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
