Job description

Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for Mail Services Clerk positions in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for the handling, routing, pick-up and delivery of all internal and external mail operations and performs related duties as required

  • Wrap, seal, weigh, affix postage and dispatch all outgoing mail/packages in accordance with specific regulations per carrier (i.e., FedEx, UPS or USPS). Prepare overnight items and special outgoing inter-office pouches

  • Accurately sort all incoming mail to the mail bins - Look up any unknown mail in Everlearn, if unable to locate mail is given to Site Supervisor

  • Process accountable mail for USPS (Certified Mail) and enter in accountable mail database

  • Gather all presort mail and prepare for delivery at the end of the day. Sort, scan, verify and send KBS HR and other digital mail timely and accurately

  • Have a pleasant, friendly, and approachable attitude when speaking with customers

  • Keep mail room clean and tidy, view from retail window should be inspected randomly to ensure customer interaction is top notch

Requirements:  

  • 1+ years experience working in a mailroom environment

  • May regular lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. and move (push mail cart) over 50 lbs. May occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

  • Computer literate

  • HS Diploma/GED

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
