Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED Certificate.

1 - 2 years of experience in driving, and delivery of packages, and mail.

1 - 2 years of experience in postal services.

1 year of experience in mailing machines and scales.

Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review).


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Provides mail service delivery within NTUA offices, company-wide, in accordance with established schedules.

Prepares and maintains log on all outgoing mail from HQ.

Picks up supplies from warehouse and ships for delivery to District Offices.

Picks up and delivers Lab Samples in accordance with schedule and timeframes.

Ensures that the company unit is cleaned, and properly serviced, and required to report any and all damages immediately.

Sorts all mail in a timely manner by name and department.

Sort, open and distribute mail according to destination department.

Deliver and pick-up interoffice and outgoing mail

Keeps the mail area clean, safe and orderly.

Ensures mailing machines are serviced and maintained.

Maintains mailing machine supplies and refilling of postage.

Assists with (receiving, date stamping, sorting, distributing and delivery) of HQ NTUA mail and packages, when assigned and/or when required.

As assigned, will assist in custodial work when the regular custodian is not on duty.

As assigned, will assist the Facilities Maintenance Department with seasonal duties, i.e. clearing snow from walk-ways, clean fixtures, equipment, windows, walls, etc.

Conducts all job duties in a safety conscious manner that reflects safety for others as well as self in work habits and in carrying out assignments.

Assists in sweeping walkways and staircases.

Assists in rakes and removes fallen leaves.

Assists in applying snow melting chemicals on roads, walkways and outside stairway.

Assists in the handling of heavy materials.

Operates company vehicle for performing business-related errands following all safety regulations. Ensures vehicle is properly maintained and in good repair.

Performs other duties as assigned.
