Job Title: Jet Mill Operator (3rd Shift)

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Location: San Marcos, Texas

About this role

A jet mill operator/machine-systems specialist supports the Production Supervisor in all aspects of production, machine and system operation and setups, order processing, job cleanups and troubleshooting. A jet mill operator is a key component in producing high quality magnets for our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Operating a Machine-System which is part of the Magnet Production process.
  • Performing minor machine maintenance, such as maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Monitoring, using, and interacting with machine control codes, computers.
  • Providing valuable information to help diagnose machine issues.
  • Reading system schematics.
  • Conducting work according to standards set by the customer.
  • Performing routine job inspections to ensure that the company polices are being followed and routine maintenance is begin performed.
  • Meeting production standards by monitoring machine performance to include managing run time and quality standards.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Has at least a High School Diploma or GED, Associates degree is preferred.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and good communication skills.
  • Can communicate effectively between all stakeholders, to maintain product quality and consistent output across the different systems within the organization.
  • Has the ability to read and comprehend Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Is knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office, as well as, downloading SCADA files.
  • Is able to generate and comprehend production and job order reports.
  • Can interpret and communicate mathematical information.
  • Has the ability to follow process steps and parameters and, is proficient in the use of modern technology.

Additionally:

  • Is able to move up to 50lbs.
  • Has the ability to stand for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
  • Is comfortable making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting and squatting.
  • Can tolerate variable and sometimes extreme physical conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment in a railroad environment.
  • Able to wear PPE.
