Job Description

Summary/Objective
 

Product Design Engineer is responsible for the engineering of the product designs submitted by clients. Responsible for creating test prototypes and administering test to ensure quality and functionality of design. Support the transition of the product from concept to production to ensure the customer requirements are being meet. In addition, collaborates with Purchasing Department to determine the resources need and cost of product.

Responsibilities

  • Manages several projects at one time.
  • Handles all changes and problems related to product assigned.
  • Creates product design for all industrial magnetic equipment including but not limited to magnetic conveyors, sweepers, and separation products
  • Responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation for items including, but not limited to, generation detailed engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, test reports, and product validation plans
  • Designs and tests prototypes for product development.
  • Supports the transition of the product from concept to production
  • Interprets customer requirements, both verbal and written, in order to meet their needs
  • Coordinates with the sales team to develop pricing and product design
  • Manages quality systems standard calibrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • 4 to 7 years of design engineering experience.
