Job description

Position Title: Executive Producer - Magic The Gathering Online

Studio/Department: Magic the Gathering Online

Employee Type: Full Time, Regular

Location: San Diego, CA/Remote (Daybreak Approved Remote Locations (CA, WA, TX, NY))

US Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 USD, pay may vary on location

Description

  • Lead the team in establishing and guiding the long-term vision and direction of the game IP for the studio and franchise
  • Own the vision for product, process, practices, people, and tools across the franchise
  • Establish and drive execution of business plan for studio and franchise IP
  • Scope and develop the execution plan against the vision
  • Sequence and stack-rank priorities into near-, medium- and long-term for successful execution against the business plan
  • Establish/refine resource plan, team, organizational and structure to successfully execute against plan
  • Partner with department leaders to establish and maintain the product vision, scope, staffing plan, schedule, and budget
  • Lead development, management, and direction of:
  • Live game service and operations
  • Content production, systems, features for the live game
  • Lead exploration and development of investment plan for new game opportunities with the studio's core IP
  • Manage studio and development teams
  • Oversee studio staffing across all key disciplines (e.g., production, design, engineering, art, live service, product management, project management and operations)
  • Drive financial performance for the studio (e.g., existing live title and new investments)
  • Report game and business performance to stakeholders and publisher on a regular cadence
  • Foster relationships with partner teams and shared services to support the game
  • Be a passionate ambassador for the game IP

Other Criteria

  • 10+ years of production, development, and product management experience on a live game as a service product
  • 3+ years of leadership role (within the 10+ years of game experience)
  • Additionally, you should possess:
  • Must have shipped multiple successful titles, with significant experience in cross-platform and large-scale live operations
  • Strong knowledge and experience with F2P GaaS economy design and service operations
  • Experience with and full embrace of data analytics and data-driven decision-making:
  • Familiarity and utilization of A/B testing framework
  • Leverage data to estimate expected outcomes and potential ROI, then stack rank and prioritize
  • Market awareness & analysis
  • Consumer awareness & analysis
  • Player and marketing management & analysis
  • Highly process-driven expert in SDLC with proven track record of quality development and execution against plans
  • A passion for being in the trenches, driving day-to-day decisions, while never losing sight of the high-level vision.
