Job description

Immediately hiring Machinists for large manufacturing companies in San Antonio.

Pay is up to $28/hr. based on experience
AM & PM shifts available

Duties:
  • Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points
  • Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three - and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating devices; tramming heads
  • Capable of running and setting up general and special purpose machines
  • Hydro pneumatic presses and manual coining/tweaking
  • CNC machining and programming
  • Experience with small, machined parts
  • Knowledge in SPC, TPM, and poke yoke, kaizen, lean manufacturing, jigs and fixtures and gauges design, GD&T
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting
  • Adjusting and reprogramming controls
  • Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools
Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 2-3 yrs. of machining experience in a manufacturing shop
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand process specifications
  • Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
