Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual machinery to produce parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
  • Create prints and drawings.
  • Select the appropriate tooling and material based on the project.
  • Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
  • Inspect machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area.
  • Compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate various types of machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Ability to program in G code and conversational.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

5+ years of experience in machining. 3G and 4G welding certification a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move, as needed.
