Job description

Job Responsibilities Maintains a high level of excellence by communicating and interacting with students enrolled in courses within the program area. Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing. Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules.

Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty, and staff. Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes. Assists the MTT Program Director with timely notification of any shortfalls in supplies or equipment needed for lab instruction.

Conducts lectures, and discussions and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objectives. Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignment in accordance with skill and competency acquired by students.

Submits grades, reports and records in a timely manner. Remains current in field. Must have a broad knowledge of Machine Tool Technology with specific knowledge in CNC and Precision Machining.

This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Beltline Campus. Minimum and Additional Requirements Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related field and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline of Machine Tool Technology. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related field, demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline of Machine Tool Technology a and a minimum of two (2) years of related industry experience is preferred.

Additional Comments Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College's established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $65 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours.

Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
