Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Production/Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee daily activities at a specialized manufacturing facility. This role combines operational leadership with technical process expertise and is responsible for driving production performance, quality, efficiency, and team development. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional workforce while continuously improving manufacturing processes, ensuring customer requirements are met, and supporting business growth objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily site operations, including production, scheduling, quality, and maintenance.
  • Provide direct leadership to facility personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, tooling, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, customer specifications, and internal operating procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, process optimization, and cost control.
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, customer-facing teams, and other stakeholders to align operational capabilities with business needs.
  • Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, and delivery performance.
  • Monitor operational metrics and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the introduction of new products, processes, and technologies, including validation and implementation activities.
  • Serve as the primary site representative during audits, customer visits, and operational reviews.
  • Promote a safe working environment through adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies and practices.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally precision manufacturing.
  • Previous experience leading teams or supervising operations within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working within structured quality management systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
