Engineer II, ProjectsOur client is seeking an Engineer II, Projects to manage customer projects within a roll shop environment. This position will provide engineering, technical, commercial, and project management support from the initial quotation through project completion.ResponsibilitiesManage customer projects from initial quotation through completion.Communicate with customers regarding engineering designs, project requirements, pricing, questions, and project progress.Prepare project quotations, supporting documentation, preliminary design proposals, and scopes of work for mechanical services, modifications, repairs, and testing.Review customer drawings, specifications, and related documentation to determine project requirements and component feasibility.Serve as a liaison between engineering and mechanical service operations.Work with mechanical personnel to resolve manufacturing and design issues.Coordinate with purchasing, quality control, sales, production, accounting, metal finishing, assembly, vendors, and outside sales representatives.Generate and update process documentation, work instructions, flowcharts, and related engineering documents.Participate in engineering and general design reviews.Identify and support cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.Generate and track KPI data and corrective action progress.Support safety investigations, safety initiatives, Lean practices, and Operational Excellence programs.Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting customer and business deadlines.RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
