Job Description:

The Electrical Engineer II will use engineering principles and design software, helps to design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist design team in machinery design from inception to completion that are extensive and complex involving original design work and selection of components and materials.
  • Develop of engineering specifications and original design concepts.
  • Provide detailed technical analysis of equipment.
  • Provide machine process audits and make recommendations to improve line efficiencies.
  • Test and debug equipment to isolate defects
  • Prepare layouts using CAD tools
  • Evaluate moderately complex designs; make engineering changes
  • Evaluate new parts
  • Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of material (BOM) for moderately complex equipment
  • Support manufacturing/assembly teams
  • May travel to customer site to support field teams with technical assistance as required
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in field
  • Experience with Eplan preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to perform all Level I duties competently
  • Ability to read and interpret moderately complex electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts
  • Working knowledge of CAD and engineering systems
  • Strong logical and reasoning abilities
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing methods; electrical design and project management
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in customer's facility and manage that relationship

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
