Job Description:

The Planning & Execution Team Member II is responsible for the flow of work through the machine shop and oversees requests for outsourcing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and release manufactured parts out of MRP and schedules all work requests.
  • Schedule and expedite late releases and monitor changes to requests.
  • Release and schedule manufactured warranty requests.
  • Work in conjunction with manufacturing to optimize capacity in the machine shop for core work.
  • Level load all work centers in the machine shop.
  • Route and schedule engineering change notices.
  • Determine best machining practices and what can be reworked, then route and schedule internal and external manufactured requests (Backup/Support)
  • Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing team and customers on manufactured parts (Backup/Support)
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers on the status of manufactured parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in machine tool/fabrication technology or a related field and three years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED and five years of manufacturing experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of raw material types and machining principles.
  • Knowledge of machining processes such as chrome/nickel plating, hardening, and stress relieving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Metallurgical knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of XA and MRP are desired.
