Job description

Coordinates the day-to-day operations to ensure maximum production of machines. Essentially responsibilities include, but are not limited to preparing and operating machines to perform tasks. Other responsibilities include understanding specifications of the task, reading blueprints, translating instructions, preparing and loading raw material, as well as prioritizing work assignments to achieve on-time delivery of products.
Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Follow instructions, processes, procedures and standard work for specific machines
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
  • Safely operate a simple machine
  • Load and unload the machine
  • Perform general preventative maintenance
  • Meet production rate following standard work
  • Communicate effectively

Physical Demands and Abilities:
  • While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear, bend, use hands and/or fingers to handle, touch objects assemble parts, utilize tools or controls
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and product
  • Ability to perform tasks at a standard velocity
  • Must have hand and foot coordination to control and adjust equipment or tools
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
