Job description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Box Wire machines (re-coilers) in a manner consistent with production standards and the quality expectations of our customers.
This includes:
  • Use machine control panel to set proper length, weight, gauge and feed speed.
  • Transfer completed coils from hubs to belt.
  • Visual inspection of coils, remove any quality defects.
  • Using tie wire, secure the coil in four places.
  • Use butt-welder and grinder to maintain continuous feed.
  • Occasionally disengage equipment to remove tangles.

 
Requirements:
  • Entry-level position.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc)

 
Physical Requirements:
  • Walk and stand continuously.
  • Manipulate, grip, grasp and handle coiled wire weighing 50 or 100lbs
  • Lift up to 50 lbs constantly throughout shift.
  • Lift up to 80 lbs occasionally.
  • Bend, stoop and reach constantly throughout shift.
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
