Job description

GridSource is seeking a Laborer in Georgetown, SC.
Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour

The Laborer is responsible for placing cables in trenches, splicing conduit sections as directed, and performing other tasks to ensure timely project completion. This role also supports crews, supervisors, and project managers as needed.
What you will do:
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to dig as required
  • Install different types of underground utility pipes
  • Operate heavy machinery as needed
  • Uphold the mission, values, and safety protocols of GridSource
  • Travel to various job sites as necessary
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in the broadband industry
  • Working knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations, and general safety standards
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry loads up to 95 lbs.
  • Ability to lift a 32-foot ladder
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces when required
  • Willingness to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, with occasional exposure to electrical shock, radiation, and vibration
  • Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week and outside of normal business hours (holidays, evenings, weekends) as business needs require
