Job Description

Join a precision aerospace and defense manufacturing team as a CNC Mill Machine Operator, where you will operate and help set up 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills to produce high-quality components. The role offers hands-on training, growth opportunities, and the chance to work with advanced machining technology in a world-class aerospace machine shop.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 3, 4, and 5 axis vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines to produce precision components for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Set up CNC mills by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures to support efficient and accurate machining operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to understand part requirements and machining strategies.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry to calculate dimensions, offsets, and machining parameters as needed.
  • Assist in adjusting machine settings and tools under guidance to optimize part quality and throughput.
  • Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain consistency, safety, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with team members and trainers to continuously improve machining skills and process knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop standards and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate any issues with equipment, tooling, or quality to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
