Description

The Machine Operator plays a key role in supporting maintenance and engineering activities at the Continental Products facility in Tukwila, Washington. This entry-level position involves assisting with machinery maintenance, participating in new product development, and addressing technical challenges. The operator will collaborate with both management and hourly employees to ensure efficient production of high-quality plastic bags, reporting directly to the Director of Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Machine Operation:

  • Operate and monitor machinery to ensure efficient production of plastic bags.
  • Conduct routine checks to maintain optimal machine performance
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to meet production specification.

Maintenance Support:

  • Assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize production downtime.
  • Help maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Product Development:

  • Participate in new product development initiatives by providing insights on machine capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to suggest process improvements.

Technical Assistance:
