Temp Assignment
Laser Machine Operator
Location: Kent, WA
1st Shift: 3:30am or 4am start (Mon-Fri)
Pay rate range: $20.20 - $24.00/hr
Entry level, machine experience is preferred with good tenure in previous roles. Mechanical aptitude is also ideal.
Applies basic laser operator processes for sheet metal aircraft components as specified by written instructions, schedules and drawings. Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications. Functions and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete basic tasks while applying standard practices.
• Perform setups and operations using Fiber and/or YAG CNC lasers on production hardware.
• Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
• With direct oversight, identify machine alignment problems.
• Use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
• Able to learn to troubleshoot minor program errors independently. Work under limited oversight.
Skills and experience:
• Able to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, and sketches.
• Must be able to use mathematics relevant to functions.
• Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.
Desired skills but not required:
• Prefer familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments.
• Prefer basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Working Conditions:
Use of protective clothing, glasses, and other equipment to prevent burns and eye injuries.
Physical Requirements:
The laser operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
This position is subject to meeting export compliance eligibility requirements. Completion of a U.S. Export Compliance Notice is required. Prospective employees must identify their status as a U.S. or Foreign Person, as well as their country of citizenship and residence.
