Location: Sugar Land, TX
Hourly Pay: $20.00/hour
Night Shift Differential: +$2.00/hour
Shifts: 2nd Shift (3 PM - 11 PM, $20/hour) and 3rd Shift (11 PM - 7 AM, $22.00/hour)

Job Overview
Accredo Packaging is seeking Machine Operator, Trainees to support our Extrusion and Paper Bag manufacturing operations in Sugar Land, Texas. This role is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn how to operate complex, industrial manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
As a Machine Operator, Trainee, you will receive hands-on training to safely set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production machinery while producing high-quality packaging products that meet customer and company standards. Final work assignment will be based on business needs, training progression, and demonstrated aptitude.

Essential Job Functions
  • Safely operate and assist with industrial manufacturing equipment used in extrusion or paper bag production
  • Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers according to production specifications
  • Read and follow production orders, schedules, and job documentation
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during production runs
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report mechanical or process issues
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications
  • Record production output, downtime, scrap, and maintenance activity
  • Package, label, palletize, and transport finished materials as required
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping tasks
  • Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisors

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex machinery
  • Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic math skills and ability to read measuring devices
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules, work instructions, and production documentation, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Basic computer skills or willingness to learn production systems
  • Ability to work day or night shifts and overtime as needed
