The Machine Operator role is a hands-on position focused on efficiently operating primarily manual machinery within a small team environment. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this position involves ensuring equipment runs smoothly, performing sanitation tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining equipment to support production goals. The role requires flexibility to work multiple shifts, occasional weekends, and overtime as business needs evolve, with a strong emphasis on food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate primarily manual machinery with a focus on food safety compliance
  • Perform equipment sanitation and lead sanitation inspections post-cleaning
  • Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues independently
  • Support multiple shift schedules with flexibility to adjust hours and work occasional weekends
  • Maintain and assist with equipment maintenance and controls
  • Train and coach team members on machinery operation and safety protocols
  • Collaborate within a small team to meet operational and quality goals
