Dealership Driver (CDL Required)

Position Summary

The Dealership Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of equipment, bikes, and materials between dealership locations, customer sites, manufacturers, and vendors. This position requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and professionalism. The Driver also assists with loading, unloading, inspections, and maintaining transportation records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely transport equipment, bikes, and other dealership assets to and from customer locations, auctions, vendors, manufacturers, and other dealership locations.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns immediately.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure all cargo is properly secured before transport.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
  • Communicate delivery schedules and any delays with management and customers.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized truck, trailer, and work area.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Assist with general dealership operations when transportation duties are complete.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • Clean driving record with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Previous experience transporting equipment, heavy machinery, or commercial vehicles preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and loading equipment.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Climb onto trailers and equipment safely.
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Sit and drive for extended periods.
Work Environment
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments.
  • Exposure to changing weather conditions.
