Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our growing independent used car dealership in New York. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, and experienced in automotive financing, lender relationships, and F&I product sales.

You will be responsible for helping customers secure financing while maximizing dealership profitability through finance and protection product sales.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and secure financing for vehicle purchases.
  • Present financing options and F&I products professionally.
  • Sell vehicle service contracts, GAP, tire & wheel, maintenance plans, and other protection products.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and finance companies.
  • Submit complete and accurate lender packages.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and lender regulations.
  • Review contracts for accuracy before funding.
  • Achieve monthly finance penetration, product penetration, and profitability goals.
  • Work closely with the sales team to create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Resolve funding issues and contract stipulations promptly.
  • Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of automotive F&I experience (used car dealership preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of indirect lending and subprime financing.
  • Experience with Dealer Center or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and dealership documentation.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
