Position Information: The full time Maintenance & Custodial Technician is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, general basic maintenance, and overall upkeep of the dealership and grounds. The Maintenance & Custodial Technician will report to the General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet every customer, every day
  • Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers, and vendors
  • Put safety first. Must adhere to all safety policies, procedures and personal protective equipment requirements and standards
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the dealership on schedule determined by management
  • Clean, sanitize, and keep orderly the dealership in all customer and employee areas.
  • Maintain an effective dealership cleaning level
  • Restock refreshment areas
  • Maintain the grounds as directed
  • Clean bathrooms and restocks paper supplies, as needed
  • Clean refrigerators, counters, sinks, coffee stations, microwaves, etc. 
  • Vacuum and spot/stain maintenance on furniture 
  • Empty and clean all trash receptacles, inside and outside 
  • Clean and sanitize all dealership interior surfaces, including ceilings, walls, door knobs, light switches, outlet covers, signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, doors, desks, counters, cabinets, desks, etc.
  • Mop, sweep, and vacuum all flooring, including using floor cleaning machine
  • Dust and polish appropriate surfaces
  • Wash all windows, glass doors and glass panels throughout dealership
  • Assist with set up, break down, and cleaning for events
  • Assist with stocking supplies as needed
  • Complete light repair duties such as changing light bulbs
  • Remove all debris/garbage from lot and grounds
  • Weed, sweep, and general lot cleaning and maintenance.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock
  • Assist with pickup and delivery of service customer vehicles when needed
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards


Requirements

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communication skills. Clean driving record.


Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding position. Will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. S/he will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and feel. Will use hand and power tools. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
