Position Title: Equipment Supply Specialist

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Baltimore, MD

Employment Status: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Full-Time, M-F, core work hours are from 9:30am to 2:30pm

FLSA Status: Exempt


Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Equipment Supply Specialist to support the Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Ice Breaker, Buoy, and Construction Tender Product Line (IBCTPL) in Baltimore, MD. This position is contingent upon contract award.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Apply knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in the design, procurement maintenance, modification, and repair of assigned equipment.
  • Assists in the development of technical specifications for all equipment installed on Coast Guard vessels.
  • Provide technical expertise for CG parts and equipment. Knowledge and ability to correctly identify HM&E and ELEX components, materials, and packaging requirements in order to make recommendations to item managers regarding condition of frustrated materials.
  • Provide services in support of planning and arranging for procurement: Prepare for review and approval: statements of work, justifications for other than full and open competition, product specifications, purchase descriptions, and repair descriptions.
  • Assist with market research and preparation of other technical documentation related to procurement actions for equipment.
  • Provide technical recommendations and assistance.
  • Conduct extensive oral and written communication with a variety of internal and external personnel, to include contractors, vendors, and representatives for other organizations.
  • Review for verification vendor's compliance with ANSI and ISO 9000 requirements. Conduct reviews for verification of vendor data, such as capabilities for performance evaluations. Provides technical support to Product Line engineers in the administration of a contract.
  • Perform data gathering and market surveys, coordinates meetings with vendors or consulting contractors, and assists in the maintenance of the engineering technical library.
  • Operate local or remote workstations, attached to a large-scale computer network; utilizing installed software to assist in the performance of duties.
  • All other duties as assigned.
