Job Description:
Machinist IV - 2nd Shift (3:15pm-1:15am)
Entegris is currently seeking a Machinist IV for our Decatur, TX facility.
In this role, you will perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials.
What You'll Do:
  • Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions.
  • Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties).
  • Operate 4th & 5th axis mills, live tooling lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.
  • Complete machining tasks within a customer job.
  • Make complex code adjustments within program.
  • Collaborate with programmers on program/fixture creation for new parts.
  • Create hand-typed CNC code (i.e., chip prevention lines, fixturing).
  • Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products.
  • Follow weekly scheduled work to track with on-time shipping.
  • May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

What We Seek:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 plus years experience minimum in relevant machining.
  • Mastery of 4th & 5th axis mill, live tooling CNC lathe, and high speed surfacing mill preferred.
  • Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings.
  • Experience using a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) a plus.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.
  • Ability to make complex code adjustments within program.
  • Experience using programming software a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
  • Ability to perform visual and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Work any shift as required to meet business needs.
  • Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus.
  • Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.

Physical Requirements:
  • Completion of pre-employment physical required.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point grip.
  • Frequent tasks will include squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing.
  • Occasional work may be required in confined workspaces.
  • Ability to perform hand squeezes requiring force up to 30 lbs.
  • Performing repetitive tasks or motions for extended periods.
  • Maintaining balance and coordination, especially when working on elevated platforms or in areas with uneven surfaces.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or humid environments).
  • Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.
