Senior End User Computing Engineer

Rate: Open

Location: Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX

Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Duration: 6+ months

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science
  • 5+ years of experience in a desktop engineering or end user experience role.
  • 3+ years of experience with Jamf Pro in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years managing macOS endpoints in an enterprise environment using Jamf Pro.
  • 3+ years Bash scripting and Jamf API experience
  • 3+ years Jamf Pro including Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, Jamf Infrastructure Manager, Jamf ADCS Connect, and integrations with SSO, LDAP, Cloud Identity Providers, and SMTP.
  • Experience troubleshooting, deploying and packaging applications for macOS endpoints.
  • Experience operating in a DevOps culture.

Preferred

  • Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
  • Jamf 400 Certification

Qualifications

  • Serve as primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jamf Pro; own design, deployment, and lifecycle management of the Jamf environment.
  • Document Jamf architecture and network security flows.
  • Ensure user requirements are documented and traceable to implemented solutions.
  • Lead Phase 1 deployment of Jamf-managed MacBook devices as part of the VDI replacement initiative.
  • Produce weekly endpoint performance reports covering device health, patch compliance, software utilization, and user behavior trends.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for Jamf Pro and escalate issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Help Desk to automate solutions and create self-service quick fixes.
  • Package and deploy applications to macOS endpoints using Jamf Pro.
  • Configure and administer Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, Jamf Infrastructure Manager, and Jamf ADCS Connect.
  • Manage Jamf integrations with SSO, LDAP, Cloud Identity Providers, and SMTP.
  • Build custom scripts and solutions to manage all MacBook devices.
  • Proactively maintain macOS, Jamf, and software deployment updates including vulnerability remediation.
  • Troubleshoot application installation, performance, and runtime issues within the macOS environment.
  • Drive meetings with Business, IT, and Security Leaders to develop requirements and communicate environmental changes.
  • Drive automation of processes in the end user experience space.
  • Document changes, policies, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide cross-training and mentoring to team members.
