eHealth, the leading private online marketplace for Health Insurance, is excited to start contracting with experienced Independent Sales Agents for 2026. eHealth offers competitive, uncapped commissions while providing flexibility and a supportive work environment.
What you'll do:
As an Independent Licensed Sales Agent, you will assist beneficiaries in navigating one of the most important decisions of their lives-choosing the right health insurance coverage. You will listen to their needs, provide expert advice, and guide them in selecting the best options. With partnerships with leading national and regional health insurance companies, you'll have the tools to help customers find the coverage that best suits their individual needs.
Who you are:
• You are required to maintain residency and live within the United States to be considered for this opportunity.
• You have 12 months of proven Medicare Insurance Sales experience as an Independent agent or at least 24 months of experience selling insurance products such as ACA, Final Expense, Annuities, or Life Insurance.
• You are AHIP Certified for 2026.
• You carry your own E&O insurance.
• You have strong technology skills; you can easily navigate between multiple systems.
• You have a high level of integrity and customer focus.
• You align with eHealth's mission and demonstrate our values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• You have a minimum of 5 active Health Licenses prior to contracting with eHealth with the ability to acquire 10-15 Health Licenses prior to taking calls.
• If you are currently appointed with Medicare carriers you must be able to become reappointed, through a release letter or other process, by such date.
• You will be required to undergo basic training to be permitted access to eHealth's software systems.

What you should know:
eHealth generates inbound telephonic Medicare leads through our robust marketing plans, all of which comply with CMS and TCPA requirements.
Occasionally, you may be required to make manual outbound calls to follow up on your own pipelined leads. To be successful in this role you need to have good technological proficiency as the role requires you to navigate between multiple computer applications and screens while on the phone.
Hours: Our highest call volume occurs between the hours of 8:00AM - 1:00PM PST, Monday through Friday outside of AEP, therefore to be successful you should be available to answer calls during these hours. During AEP 8:00AM - 1:00PM PST and 5:00PM - 8:00PM PST, Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 10:00AM - 1:00PM PST.

Compensation:
• Our Independent Agent contract is commission-based only, with commissions paid bi-weekly.
• As a non-employee contractor, you will not receive any employee benefits. However, we do provide free inbound leads, our CRM, and support to help make you successful. This is a non-captive agent contract.
• As a licensed position working within a regulated industry, all candidates must undergo extensive background checks, including lifetime criminal background and credit history reports. Passing a background check is a condition for contracting with eHealth in this role.
