Job description

Mission

At Hope Fellowship Ministries, we are on a mission to invite everyone into a relationship with Jesus and help them move to the center of God's purpose for their lives. As our IT Specialist, you aren't just "fixing computers"-you are empowering the church (the people) to serve our community effectively. You will be the primary point of contact for all things IT, ensuring our digital infrastructure is as resilient and welcoming as our ministry.

Overview

Hope Fellowship is seeking a people-focused, high-impact, "boots-on-the-ground" IT coordinator. We are seeking a person who is just as comfortable talking 1-on-1 with a coworker about their tech problems as they are behind the screen administering a network configuration. You will bridge the gap between high-level IT strategy and daily operational support. Whether it's troubleshooting a MacBook, deploying new network equipment, or administering software platforms, you are the person who keeps our IT operations running.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Monitor the IT support ticketing system, troubleshoot, and provide support to staff with hardware and software issues across all campuses.
  • System Management: Manage and oversee Mosyle and other deployment tools.
  • Lifecycle Management: From initial system deployments, to replacing aging systems, to recovering and reallocation of systems during staff transition, and maintaining some temporary replacement systems.
  • Infrastructure Collaboration: Assist our outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) with server and network infrastructure configuration and maintenance.
  • Strategic Implementation: Collaborate with leadership to roll out new IT initiatives, security protocols, and software updates.
  • Church Engagement: Participate in mandatory Hope staff activities and "all hands on deck" events.
  • Ministry Collaboration: meet, plan, and deploy IT-related projects with ministries. This may include AVL systems and security/access control systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the ministry.
Role Qualifications
  • Mission Alignment: Fully committed to the mission of Hope Fellowship with a heart of equipping others and a desire to work in ministry.
  • Culture: A desire to live out our staff culture statements daily.
  • Experience working with both Apple and Windows environments. We are primarily an Apple environment, but with a few Windows computers in the mix.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a Help Desk or IT Support role. You are experienced and composed when facing technical issues.
  • Confidentiality: Possess the ability and practice of handling confidential information with care.
  • Technical Basics: Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Professionalism: A self-starter with a proven ability to document work, manage time effectively, and see projects through to 100% completion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sector Experience: Previous experience working within a non-profit or church environment.
  • AVL Knowledge: Understanding of how IT infrastructure supports Audio/Visual/Lighting (AVL) systems.
  • Education: A formal degree or IT certifications are a plus, but not required.

Full time (35-40 hours)
