Job description

Responsibilities

The vocational nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor, or Nurse Coordinator.  The LVN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.  The LVN identifies priorities and makes judgments concerning basic needs of multiple patients to organize care.

Job Title: Per Diem Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN I/II/III)

Location: Atascocita (New Clinic Opening!!)

Job Type: Per Diem

Salary Range: $28.99 - $34.01 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: 

LVN I/II/III- Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.

Preferred: N/A

Experience

Required:

LVN I - 6 months in a clinical area. May consider a new grad if hiring department can provide direct supervision for 6 months, and an acceptable preceptor is available.

LVN II - 4-8 years in a clinical area
LVN III - 9+ years in a clinical area 

Preferred: N/A

License(s)

Required: Current and valid Texas LVN license

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: 

LVN I/II/III- Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population for the assigned clinical area.
