Job description

Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Locations: Big Spring, TX 79720
Duration: Contract to Hire
Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities:
Provide care for patients - manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
Perform computer data entry - Receive full training
Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
Requested Schedule:
Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs. Every other weekend off. Able to start any day during the week (M-F), given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements.
40-hours/week
Minimum of 2-3 weeks of on unit mentorship with a seasoned LVN
Requirements:
Must possess valid LVN license
Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
Must submit to HHSC required drug test
Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting
Must complete facility and HHSC required training
