Job description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the strategic growth of Marquis Association Management by identifying, cultivating, and securing new luxury condominium management opportunities throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
This executive-level position focuses on developing long-term relationships with condominium boards, developers, attorneys, engineers, architects, brokers, owners' representatives, and other influential professionals within the luxury condominium industry. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to business development, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to represent Marquis with professionalism, credibility, and executive presence.
The successful candidate will serve as the face of Marquis in the marketplace, positioning the company as South Florida's premier provider of luxury condominium management services while working closely with executive leadership to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities- Strategic Business Development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on acquiring new luxury condominium management accounts.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities throughout South Florida.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and strategic opportunities.
  • Research market activity, management company transitions, new developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Consistently generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, industry involvement, and proactive outreach.

Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with:

Sales & Proposal Leadership
  • Lead the complete sales process from prospect identification through contract execution.
  • Coordinate and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations.
  • Deliver professional presentations before condominium boards and executive committees.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on contract negotiations.
  • Develop competitive positioning strategies that clearly differentiate Marquis from competing management companies.
  • Coordinate successful transition planning following contract awards.

Marketing & Brand Development
  • Represent Marquis at networking events, industry conferences, trade organizations, and community association functions.
  • Promote Marquis' luxury service culture and operational expertise.
  • Assist with development of marketing materials, presentations, case studies, and client success stories.
  • Strengthen Marquis' visibility and reputation throughout the South Florida luxury condominium market.
  • Monitor competitive activity and communicate market intelligence to executive leadership.

Pipeline & CRM Management
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
  • Track opportunities through every stage of the sales cycle.
  • Prepare monthly pipeline reports and sales forecasts.
  • Measure sales performance against established KPIs.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular updates on prospect activity, market trends, and business development initiatives.

Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership throughout the sales and onboarding process.
  • Coordinate smooth client transitions from award through operational implementation.
  • Ensure new clients experience a seamless onboarding process that reflects Marquis' commitment to service excellence.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Real Estate, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful business development, sales, or relationship management experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing executive-level relationships and generating new business.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executive leadership.
  • Professional appearance and executive presence.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with reliable transportation.

Travel Requirements
This position requires frequent travel throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties to meet with prospective clients, developers, and industry partners, attend networking events, conduct presentations, and participate in association meetings. Occasional evening meetings and industry functions are expected.
Work Environment
This position combines office work with frequent field activity, including client meetings, networking events, board presentations, industry conferences, and property visits. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in professional business environments and representing Marquis at executive-level meetings and community events.
