Job description

About Us

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we're delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data - from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we're building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It's an exciting time to join us: we're creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

About the Role

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

We're looking for a highly organized and execution-oriented Process Analyst to support documentation and analysis of core GTM, operational, and systems workflows across the business. In this role, you will partner with Systems Engineers, Technical Product Managers, RevOps, Finance, and GTM stakeholders to create accurate, scalable, and well-structured process documentation that supports systems transformation, operational efficiency, and AI readiness initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating clarity from ambiguity, thrives in fast-moving environments, and has a strong attention to detail. You'll be responsible for translating complex operational workflows into clean, organized process artifacts including swimlanes, decision trees, data flow diagrams, and operational documentation that can be used by business and technical teams alike.

The work is highly cross-functional and requires someone who can quickly absorb information, ask thoughtful questions, synthesize large amounts of feedback, and maintain high quality documentation across multiple concurrent workstreams. Strong process mapping and visualization skills, especially in Lucidchart, are critical for success in this role.

You'll work closely with TPMs and Systems teams to help ensure business processes are clearly documented, consistently understood, and accurately reflected in system implementations and transformation initiatives.

This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland or Denver office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

Technologies You'll Use

Lucidchart, Google Workspace, Jira, Salesforce, Looker, SQL, Gong, IronClad, NetSuite, Miro, and other GTM, operational, and business systems used to support process documentation, systems transformation, and workflow analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Document current-state business and technical workflows across GTM, Finance, Operations, and Systems teams using L2-L4 process maps

  • Create high-quality process artifacts including swimlanes, decision trees, data touchpoint diagrams, RACI matrices, and exception handling flows

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and shadow end users to understand how operational workflows function in practice

  • Synthesize complex or inconsistent information into clear, organized, and actionable documentation

  • Identify process gaps, unclear handoffs, operational inconsistencies, and exception paths

  • Maintain a centralized and well-organized process documentation library with strong versioning and documentation hygiene

  • Partner with TPMs and Systems teams to support systems transformation and process improvement initiatives

  • Build lightweight operational reports or dashboards to validate process observations and support process analysis

  • Support UAT activities and validate that implemented system changes align with documented workflows

  • Create supporting documentation and enablement materials for operational rollout and adoption efforts

Skills We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, operations, consulting, business systems, or related roles in SaaS or high-growth technology environments

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to produce accurate and high-quality documentation quickly

  • Strong process mapping and workflow visualization skills using tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio

  • Ability to structure ambiguous information into clear, scalable, and easy-to-understand process artifacts

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and synthesize stakeholder feedback effectively

  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent requests and priorities across cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience facilitating working sessions, capturing decisions, and maintaining organized follow-through

  • Familiarity with operational workflows across GTM, Finance, Customer Success, or business systems environments

  • Basic reporting and analytical skills with comfort working with operational or CRM data

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical teams

  • Ability to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and workflow copilots to support documentation, research, synthesis, and process analysis work

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CPQ, subscription billing, or revenue operations systems

  • Experience working with process governance, process libraries, or continuous improvement initiatives

  • Exposure to systems transformation or operational scale programs

  • Experience supporting enablement, training, or operational rollout activities

  • Basic SQL or reporting experience

Why You'll Thrive Here

You're someone who loves bringing clarity to chaos, turning messy workflows into clean process maps, and catching the details everyone else missed.

You thrive in fast-moving environments with lots of stakeholders, shifting priorities, and operational puzzles to solve. You ask smart questions, learn quickly, stay organized under pressure, and genuinely enjoy creating documentation people will actually use instead of letting it quietly die in the depths of a shared drive.

This role gives you the opportunity to work across GTM, Finance, Operations, Systems, and Engineering while helping build the operational foundation that enables Fivetran to scale smarter, faster, and with a lot less process confusion.
