Position Summary

The Fulfillment Lead is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day execution of shipping, fulfillment, and internal inventory transfers while serving as a working leader within the warehouse. This position leads by example, ensuring orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped while maintaining McEvoy Ranch's high standards for quality, organization, and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with the Inventory & Fulfillment Supervisor, the Fulfillment Lead provides guidance and support to Fulfillment Associates and seasonal employees, assists with training, promotes safe work practices, and helps maintain efficient warehouse operations. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys coaching others while remaining actively involved in daily operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Shipping & Fulfillment

  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare all incoming Sales Orders for E-Comm, Wholesale, Amazon, etc. Including internal Transfer Orders according to company standards.
  • Ensure all shipments are accurate, complete, and packaged to protect product      quality during transit.
  • Prepare pallets and freight shipments for parcel and LTL carriers.
  • Process shipments using Fishbowl, FedEx, UPS, and other shipping software.
  • Complete inventory transactions using barcode scanners and warehouse management      systems.
  • Coordinate daily shipping priorities to ensure all orders are completed on time.

  Warehouse Operations

  • Assist with product put-away following established warehouse location standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas.
  • Support warehouse organization initiatives and maintain established storage      locations.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Assist with inventory movements supporting production, retail, and fulfillment      operations.
  • Assist in weekly Cycle Counts and inventory needs.

  Team Leadership

  • Serve as the primary floor lead during daily warehouse operations.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Fulfillment Associates and seasonal employees.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Monitor workflow and help prioritize daily tasks to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and open communication.
  • Escalate operational issues or employee concerns to the Inventory & Fulfillment Supervisor as appropriate.

  Quality & Safety

  • Follow established quality control procedures to ensure every shipment meets company standards.
  • Verify products, packaging, labels, and documentation for accuracy before shipment.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies and  encouraging safe work practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and communicate recommendations to the Inventory & Fulfillment Supervisor.

Qualifications


Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum three (3) years of warehouse, shipping, or fulfillment experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred

  • Previous experience serving as a lead or mentoring team members preferred.
  • Experience with Fishbowl Inventory or similar ERP/Warehouse Management System.
  • Experience using FedEx, UPS, or comparable shipping software.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, retail, and consumer packaged goods environments.

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.

Wage: $26 to $28 per hour depending upon experience.
