About the Role:

The Licensed Surveying and Instrument Technician (LSIT) plays a critical role in supporting professional surveyors by conducting precise fieldwork and data collection essential for land surveying projects. This position involves utilizing advanced surveying instruments and technology to gather accurate measurements that inform property boundaries, construction layouts, and topographical maps. The LSIT collaborates closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards. Through meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise, the LSIT contributes to the successful completion of surveying assignments that impact land development, infrastructure, and legal documentation. Ultimately, this role ensures that surveying projects are executed efficiently, safely, and with the highest degree of accuracy to support the broader objectives of the professional, scientific, and technical services industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid LSIT certification or equivalent licensure recognized within the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of relevant technical coursework in surveying or geomatics.
  • Demonstrated experience operating surveying instruments and software in a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, measurement techniques, and data collection methods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar.
