Job description

LSA’s Emeryville office is seeking experienced and qualified biologists for several hourly field positions. Field work could include special-status wildlife species surveys, fish relocation, nesting bird surveys, roosting bat surveys, and biological construction monitoring for protected species (e.g., California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander, northwestern pond turtle, giant garter snake, Alameda whipsnake, California Ridgway’s rail, California black rail, burrowing owl, San Francisco dusky-footed woodrat, salt marsh harvest mouse, nesting birds, and roosting bats). A minimum of two years of monitoring/survey experience with some or all these species is preferred. In addition, biologists with valid 40-hour HAZWOPPER training certification are also desirable. The positions require the candidates to be capable of strenuous fieldwork under adverse weather conditions.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $30 to $40 per hour. The compensation offer will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
