Charles Drew Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide top-quality rehabilitation services within our onsite Rehabilitation Center located in Beaverton, Oregon. The work setting at our Rehabilitation Center is a dynamic and supportive environment, where professionals come together to provide exemplary patient care. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, creating optimal conditions for therapy sessions. You will work alongside a dedicated team of nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals, allowing for a holistic approach to patient care. Operate within a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ mobility and functional needs, utilizing standardized evaluation tools to create personalized therapy plans.
• Implement hands-on therapy techniques to improve strength, coordination, and the ability to perform daily activities. For example, you may assist residents with tailored exercises designed to enhance fine motor skills or adaptive strategies for daily living tasks.
• Monitor and document resident progress towards therapy goals, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and responses to interventions.
• Ensure that all therapeutic practices adhere to federal and state healthcare regulations, maintaining high standards of compliance and patient safety.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share insights about patient progress and drive coordinated care efforts, driving improved outcomes.

In this role, you will primarily work with the elderly and individuals with disabilities, many of whom may be recovering from surgery, strokes, or chronic illnesses. Our residents often require specialized support to navigate daily challenges, making your expertise essential in helping them achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Oregon Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience within a healthcare setting is preferred, with an emphasis on geriatric care.

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, enhancing efficiency in documentation and patient tracking.
• Familiarity with various occupational therapy techniques and best practices, particularly those applicable to elderly care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, showcasing excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
