Description

Job Summary:

  • Vital signs and medication reconciliation.
  • Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care. Communicate patient needs, changes, and any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain and prepare medical equipment and supplies necessary for labor and delivery procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for each patient.
  • Perform individualized patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Precert procedure(s)/test(s) when required.
  • Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
  • Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Nursing required.

Experience: One year experience in a healthcare field.

Additional Skills / Abilities:

Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guest. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required. BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date.
