Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Travel Medicine & Immunizations

We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys working independently, educating patients, and providing exceptional outpatient care. If you're looking for a full-time, Monday-Friday position with no overnight shifts and the opportunity to use a wide range of clinical skills, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Details:
  • Primary Location: Cherry Creek, CO
  • Secondary Location: Greenwood Village, CO (approximately two shifts per month)
  • Pay: $33.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
  • Full-time (40 hours per week); Monday-Friday; 8-hour shifts; Start times may vary based on clinic needs
  • Local travel between assigned clinic locations is required. We strive to provide a consistent schedule whenever possible while meeting business needs.
What You'll Do - As an LPN with Passport Health, you'll provide high-quality patient care while supporting the daily operations of our outpatient clinics. This role combines clinical nursing, patient education, administrative responsibilities, and inventory management to ensure an outstanding patient experience.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Review patient medical histories and complete nursing assessments.
  • Obtain vital signs and identify concerns requiring RN or physician review.
  • Prepare and administer vaccines in accordance with physician orders and company protocols.
  • Monitor patients following immunizations and respond appropriately to adverse reactions.
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection as required.
  • Review laboratory results, communicate results to patients as directed, coordinate follow-up appointments, and document all activity in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Assist physicians and Registered Nurses with immigration physicals, travel consultations, and other clinical services.
  • Educate patients on vaccines, travel health recommendations, follow-up care, and preventive health practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all nursing standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Clinic Operations & Administrative Support
  • Support efficient daily clinic operations while collaborating with physicians, Registered Nurses, and other clinical staff.
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities, including greeting patients, collecting required documentation, scheduling support, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Generate invoices and collect patient payments.
  • Scan and upload patient documentation into the EMR and other required systems.
  • Prepare documentation for physician appointments and immigration physicals.
  • Assist with walk-in patients, incoming shipments, and other operational needs.
  • Support business development initiatives as assigned.
Inventory & Office Management
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of vaccines, medications, laboratory supplies, and medical equipment.
  • Coordinate supply ordering as needed.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and professional clinical and reception areas.
  • Rotate inventory appropriately and monitor expiration dates.
  • Track inventory levels to ensure clinic readiness and minimize waste.
Patient Experience
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during every patient interaction.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and team members.
  • Address patient questions and concerns promptly.
  • Serve as a resource for Client Services regarding immigration and immunization patients.
  • Help create a welcoming, efficient, and positive patient experience from check-in through follow-up.
Required Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between assigned clinic locations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic medical record systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Experience administering vaccines and performing venipuncture.
  • Previous outpatient, occupational health, primary care, travel medicine, or urgent care experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
