The roles often overlap in healthcare environments but differ in credentials and scope of responsibilities.

How do I become an LPN with no experience?

To become an entry-level LPN with no experience, you need to complete a state-approved practical nursing program, which typically takes about one year and includes classroom instruction and clinical practice. After graduation, you must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) to obtain licensure and start working in healthcare settings such as clinics or nursing homes.

What office jobs can an LPN do?

An LPN can work in office-based healthcare roles such as medical receptionist, medical records clerk, or administrative assistant in medical offices. These positions often require strong organizational skills, familiarity with electronic health records, and basic medical knowledge. LPNs may also assist with patient scheduling and insurance documentation in a healthcare office setting.
