Adams, Inc. is a family owned, Wisconsin-based company, specializing in home comfort solutions by way of electrical contracting, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and home backup power. We have been in business since 1988, and currently have seven locations spread across Wisconsin, with one location in Illinois.
We are seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our Residential SmartHome Electrical team in Elkhorn, WI. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced low-voltage lighting and control systems in residential and light commercial environments. This role places strong emphasis on Lutron Ketra intelligent lighting systems, including tunable white and full-spectrum lighting integrated with RadioRA 3 and HomeWorks platforms. The technician ensures all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and client design intent while delivering a premium lighting experience.

  • Follow Lutron installation standards for Ketra fixtures, power supplies, drivers, and control components.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or associate degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of low-voltage experience with preference for Lutron lighting control systems, 5+ years preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Lutron Ketra, RadioRA 3, and/or HomeWorks strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of tunable white and full-spectrum lighting concepts.
  • Ability to interpret lighting plans, elevations, and control schematics.
  • Knowledge of NEC and applicable low-voltage installations.
  • Lutron certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification a plus.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in residential and light commercial environments, including occupied homes. Physical demands include standing, climbing ladders, working overhead, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in tight or finished spaces. Attention to cleanliness and detail is required when working in high-end residential settings.
