Position Overview
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead and develop our Low Voltage field technicians. This role requires an understanding of low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, networking, etc.) and the ability to manage and lead a team of people to technical excellence.  

As the senior technical authority in the field, you will be responsible for training, coaching, and elevating our technicians while ensuring all installations meet company standards. You will serve as the primary resource for technical guidance and escalation, helping to build a more capable, confident, and consistent field team. 

Office Location: Lakewood, NJ 
Schedule: This is an in-person, full-time exempt position. Employees are expected to manage their schedules to fulfill role responsibilities and company needs, including travel to sites and off-hours support when necessary. 
Salary: $150,000+ annually

Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead, coach, and mentor field technicians to improve performance and confidence 
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on growth and development 
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing technician evaluations 
  • Create clear career paths and progression opportunities for field staff 

Training & Technical Excellence 

  • Develop and deliver ongoing training programs for technicians 
  • Improve both technical and communication skillsets across the team 
  • Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans 
  • Ensure technicians are equipped to execute work to company standards 

Quality Standards & Field Audits 

  • Establish, enforce, and continuously improve installation standards 
  • Conduct field audits and site visits to ensure consistency and quality 
  • Reduce repeat issues by addressing root causes and reinforcing best practices 

Technical Leadership & Escalation 

  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues 
  • Provide hands-on coaching in the field when needed 
  • Drive faster resolution of technical challenges across projects 

Team Alignment & Performance 

  • Lead quarterly team meetings focused on performance, alignment, and growth 
  • Promote accountability and consistency across all field operations 
  • Strengthen collaboration between field technicians, Project Managers, and leadership 

Qualifications

Experience 

  • 3–5+ years of experience in the Low Voltage industry 
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or training field technicians 
  • Experience working on commercial low voltage installations 

Technical Knowledge 

  • Strong understanding of low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, structured cabling, AV, networking) 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the field 
  • Deep knowledge of installation standards and best practices 

Leadership & Coaching Skills 

  • Proven ability to develop and elevate team performance 
  • Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities

Compensation 
The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market. The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate that allows for flexibility to align with various levels of experience, education, and performance.
