Lead Electrician: Low Voltage | Wharton, NJ
We are seeking a Lead Low Voltage Electrician to join our industrial team in Wharton. This is a direct hire, professional career opportunity for a technical problem solver who can manage the layout, installation, and maintenance of complex electrical and telecommunications systems.
Compensation and Schedule
Pay Range: $30 to $45 per hour (based on experience and technical certifications).
Schedule: First Shift (Industrial environment).
Availability: Must be available for emergency calls or 24 hour job assignments as needed.
Direct Hire: Full time with a comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, and a 401k program.
Core Responsibilities
As a Lead Electrician, you will be responsible for the uninterrupted operation of essential equipment. Your daily work will involve:
System Layout: Designing and performing the layout for industrial electrical and telecommunications systems to provide power for machines, lighting, and facilities.
Installation and Repair: Handling the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems while ensuring all work meets NEC codes and safety regulations.
Team Guidance: Partnering with and overseeing other electricians to guide installations and system commissioning.
High Voltage Integration: Connecting or extending circuits to high voltage electrical and instrumentation systems as required.
Maintenance: Proactively supporting facility infrastructure to prevent operational downtime.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who is fully competent to work independently across the electrical trade.
Education: High School or Vocational diploma plus 2 years of formal electrical training.
Code Knowledge: Up to date knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) review classes and electrical theory.
Experience: Proven ability to layout and maintain industrial telecommunication and electrical systems.
Licensing: A valid New Jersey driver"s license is required.
