Job description

PART TIME OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate need for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Low Pressure Boiler Operator/Security Guard to join our team at Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems while also providing security services to our patients and staff.


Must be available for 4pm to Midnight shifts. No other shifts are available at this time.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient heating of our facilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance

  • Respond promptly to alarms and malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation

  • Monitor and control the boiler system to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

  • Stay alert and vigilant to ensure the safety and security of our patients, staff, and facilities

  • Collaborate with other members of the facilities team to ensure effective communication and teamwork

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Low Pressure Boiler license

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Low Pressure Boiler Operator

  • Basic knowledge of boiler systems and operations

  • Basic security procedures and protocols

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
