Job description

The Parking Supervisor oversees the parking operations at Great Park Live, ensuring efficient traffic flow, compliance with venue policies, and a positive guest experience. This role involves supervising parking attendants, coordinating with security and event staff, and handling any parking-related issues or escalations. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise parking attendants and provide direction to ensure efficient vehicle flow and guest service.
  • Oversee parking lot operations, including setup, signage placement, and traffic control.
  • Monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and venue policies.
  • Assist in resolving guest concerns, disputes, or escalations related to parking.
  • Coordinate with security and event management teams to ensure smooth ingress and egress of vehicles.
  • Train and mentor parking attendants, ensuring adherence to service and operational standards.
  • Report any unauthorized vehicles, safety hazards, or operational issues to the Operations Manager on-site.
  • Manage staffing levels for parking operations based on event needs.
  • Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures as required.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all parking areas.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in parking operations, traffic control, or event management required.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
  • Ability to effectively train and mentor staff.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when setting up traffic control equipment.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, and rain.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor setting in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels during events.
  • Interaction with large crowds and vehicles.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience.
