What is loss prevention management?

Loss prevention management refers to the strategies and actions taken by businesses, particularly in retail, to reduce and prevent losses caused by theft, fraud, employee dishonesty, and other risks. Loss prevention managers are responsible for developing policies, training staff, monitoring security systems, and investigating incidents to protect company assets. Their goal is to minimize financial losses while ensuring a safe environment for employees and customers.

Loss Prevention Managers often encounter challenges such as balancing security measures with a positive customer experience, managing internal theft, and staying updated with evolving theft tactics.
