Job description

Position: Power BI/Looker Administrator
Location: Plano, TX (Remote Role)
Power BI/Looker Administrator:
This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with a high degree of ownership to support technological innovation at one of the largest American OEMs. You will gain experience on the cutting edge of business intelligence technologies and accrue deep knowledge of enterprise BI platform integrations. This is a collaborative environment where you will have the opportunity to learn and cross-train on a variety of BI tools and architectures.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain enterprise BI platforms including updates, configurations, and migrations
• Assist developers and business users with leveraging our BI platforms to get business value
• Collaborate with vendors on feature requests to enhance platform value
• Organize and document workload in JIRA and Confluence
• Operate within a scrum team and contribute to daily standups
• Design infrastructure connectivity patterns and gain cybersecurity's approval of them
• Troubleshoot BI platform issues and perform root cause analysis
• Create and maintain detailed systems architecture diagrams for all BI platform infrastructure
• Be a self-starter and organize your workload and objectives autonomously to align with team and enterprise goals
• Support the BI Platform Admins team by cross-training on our entire suite of BI tools
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
• At least 2 years' working experience in administering PowerBI, Alteryx, or Looker platform in an enterprise environment
• Experience in integrating BI platforms with Azure AD for access management
• At least 4 years experience with PowerBI, PowerBI Report Server, and PowerBI Gateway
• At least one year Data Warehouse/Data Modeling experience
• At least one year using BI platforms for creating reports and dashboards
• Experience/Knowledge in hybrid (Cloud and on prem) environment topologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience taking initiative and proactively solving complex problems
• Experience using JIRA for team organization and productivity tracking
Nice-to-have Skills and Experience:
• Comprehensive expertise administering and developing with BI Tools like Power BI and Looker
• GCP/AWS/Azure certifications are added advantage
• Experience administering unix servers
• Experience managing vendor relationships and feature requests
• Experience/Knowledge on AWS Redshift, Denodo, and AWS PrivateLink
• Experience/Knowledge of the Azure Cloud technology stack
• Experience using Confluence for knowledge management
