In this role, you would be responsible for assisting in creating data models, building dashboards, and generating reports to help organizations make data-driven decisions. As an entry-level position, it usually requires basic knowledge of SQL, data visualization, and a willingness to learn how to use Looker’s tools and features. Responsibilities may also include collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to understand their reporting needs. Training and support are often provided to help new hires become proficient with Looker.

Entry-level Looker analysts often encounter challenges such as adapting to the organization's specific data structures, learning established dashboard standards, and understanding the nuances of LookML modeling. Collaborating with senior analysts and cross-functional teams can require strong communication skills, especially when translating business needs into technical requirements. Building familiarity with the company's data sources and governance policies is crucial for producing accurate and reliable reports, and most organizations provide onboarding resources and mentorship to help new analysts ramp up effectively.
