Senior IT Program Manager - Complex Transformations & Turnarounds

Seattle, WA โ€ข On-site

$132K - $132K/yr

Job description

Project Fixers delivers IT programs that are too important to fail.

This is not a standard program management role - we specialize in programs in distress, and focus on high-visibility initiatives with high cost of failure. You will take ownership of complex, cross-functional programs - often stepping into situations that require project stabilization, stakeholder realignment, and decisive execution to plan.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Lead large-scale IT programs across multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders
  • Rescue programs that are lacking structure, alignment, and forward momentum; Identify root-causes of program dysfunctions โ€“ and address them directly.
  • Drive execution across business, technology, and external partners
  • Establish clarity where there is ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, including when the message is not easy

What This Role Requires

  • 10+ years leading complex IT programs and digital transformations
  • Experience with complex multi-system enterprise environments (ERP, CRM, integrations, data platforms)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and master business process and technical subject-matter and thoughtfully guide business and technical teams through roadblocks - not just track status
  • Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups with competing and misaligned priorities
  • Good judgment, equally high IQ/EQ, calmness under pressure, and the ability to analyze and simplify complex situations

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience stepping into programs running off-track and helping stabilize or redirect them
  • Exposure to environments with high executive visibility and delivery pressure
  • Ability to quickly assess what matters vs. what doesnโ€™t - and act accordingly

This Role Is Not for Everyone

This role is likely not a fit if:

  • Your experience is primarily within well-structured, low-ambiguity environments
  • You managed technical teamsโ€™ delivery with limited  exposure to business sponsors
  • You have no prior experience managing struggling programs
  • You prefer clearly defined roles, stable plans, and limited stakeholder complexity

About Project Fixers

We focus on delivery - not PMP theory. Project Fixers manages delivery of complex IT programs that involve major system implementations, integrations, and digital transformations. We are expert fixers who can put any IT project thatโ€™s going sideways back on track.
