Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Google Looker Developer in Hershey, PA.
Summary:
This role is critical for leveraging the power of Google Looker to provide valuable data insights and drive data-informed decision-making within the organization. This role will be crucial in building and maintaining data models in Looker, developing insightful reports and dashboards in Looker Studio, and ensuring the security and governance of data assets.
Duties:
* Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data models using LookML; Define dimensions, measures, calculated fields, and aggregates to support business requirements
* Establish relationships between different data sources and ensure data integrity within the Looker model
* Utilize Looker's semantic layer to create a single source of truth for data analysis
* Design and develop interactive and user-friendly reports and dashboards in Looker Studio; Ensure reports and dashboards adhere to data governance and security policies
* Create compelling visualizations to effectively communicate data insights; Implement filtering, parameters, and drill-down capabilities to enhance user interaction
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective Looker Studio solutions
* Administer the Looker application, including user management, roles, and permissions by managing data access and sharing within the Looker environment; Implement and maintain security protocols to ensure data confidentiality and integrity
* Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions
* Provide guidance and support to end-users on how to effectively use Looker and Looker Studio
* Contribute to the development of data-driven insights and recommendations; Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure data quality and consistency
* Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics
* Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Google Looker, including LookML development and Looker Studio report and dashboard creation
* Experience with data security and access control implementation
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with ETL processes and tools
* Experience with other BI and data visualization tools
* Experience with data governance principles and practices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
