We have an immediate opening for Lead Analytics Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining enterprise business intelligence and analytics solutions across multiple BI platforms. This role leads end-to-end analytics architecture, data modeling, ETL development, dashboard/reporting delivery, and governance implementation to support mission-critical decision-making.

The ideal candidate is an experienced analytics professional with deep experience across modern BI ecosystems (e.g., Google/Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), strong data engineering foundations, and can independently drive complex initiatives and is looking to begin a leadership trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade BI and analytics architectures across multiple platforms (e.g., Looker/Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
  • Architect and develop robust semantic/data models to support complex KPIs, large datasets, and cross-functional reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain advanced dashboards, applications, and reporting solutions using modern BI tools.
  • Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, platform-native tools (e.g., BigQuery, Dataform, Power Query), APIs, and/or integration frameworks to ingest data from diverse sources (cloud platforms, Oracle, SQL Server, APIs, flat files, legacy systems).
  • Implement performance optimization strategies including query tuning, incremental loads, partitioning, materialized views, and data extract optimization.
  • Administer enterprise BI environments, including workspace management, deployment pipelines, user/role management, row-level security, job scheduling, monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Design and manage automated and subscription-based reporting solutions, enabling secure and scalable report distribution.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data validation, metadata management, lineage tracking, auditability, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and analysts; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure analytics solutions.
  • Support lifecycle management of analytics systems, including enhancements, modernization initiatives, and cloud migration efforts.
  • Ensure BI solutions meet enterprise security standards, including access controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., DoD or other regulated environments as applicable).

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in BI, analytics development, data engineering, or database development.
  • Advanced experience with at least two enterprise BI platforms such as:
    • Google ecosystem (Looker, Looker Studio, BigQuery)
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Qlik Sense/QlikView
  • Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, semantic layer design).
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native or enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience administering enterprise BI environments, including security models (row-level security, role-based access control), deployment pipelines, and performance monitoring.
  • Understanding of cloud data warehouse architectures (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum or hybrid development methodologies.
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments with formal QA, IA, and configuration management processes.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience in building and deploying machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with agile methodologies in a collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must hold a Secret clearance
  • BI platform certifications (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) are strongly preferred
