Job description

To support manufacturing operations by performing warehouse and inventory task, materials handling, receiving, and shipping activities.

  • Preferred experience in Warehouse / Logistics

  • Preferred experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Receiving & Inventory

  • Receives heavy weight loads from carriers.
  • Operates forklift to move or locate material in the warehouse area.
  • Store and Dispatch inventory materials (raw materials, components, or silver stock) to support all Cooper Vision manufacturing areas in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure physical inventory match with system inventory records. 

  • Materials Handlers

  • Performs materials dispatch and transfer to Manufacturing / Packaging areas based on operations demand. 
  • Coordinate inventory returns from operations back to warehouse inventory, ensuring materials be in good standing packaging and proper lot identification.

Shipping attendant

  • Collect and performs product scanning process to generated shipping batch (Dispatch Note) in accordance with purchase order / Shippable Product Reports.
  • Provide support to any material or item to be shipped out of the Cooper Vision facility. 
  • Ensures adequate safeguard of the shipment against mishandling. 
  • Delivers documentation, identification, and reconciliation of material to be shipped.

Generals

  • Support Cycle Count and physical inventory activities. 

  • Maintain good inventory storage and handling practice.
  • Monitor Storage Temperature and ensure proper material storage in accordance with established procedures.
  • Store bulk polypropylene materials from containers to Silos.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practice.
  • Participate stamping quarantine labels on incoming raw materials.
  • Participate on MRO Materials delivery to owners.
  • Participate in any other duties related to Warehouse and Logistics activities as required.

QUALITY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with the Quality System Regulation (QSR).
  • Executes job responsibilities as established in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Follows the documentation procedures.
  • Completes training for the qualification and certification, as required, to execute the job.

SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with Safety and Occupational Health Policy and procedures.
  • Complies with Hazardous Communication program. 
  • Notifies immediately all accidents or incidents occurred in work area.
  • Complies with the usage, inspection and maintenance of the personal protective equipment required, if applicable.
